Klein and Brown sat motionless watching the zombies for a few minutes. It was hard to make out what they were doing in the dark, but from the sounds of it they were devouring something or someone. Klein had counted 16 of the undead. (more…)
Headhunter: Part 1
Three shots rang out throw the night, everyone hitting it’s target, the last one hitting the head, taking the Zombie out. Brains and flesh splattered against the buildings wall behind it. (more…)
Survival of the Smartest: Part 6
By the time we got upstairs the bathroom was well stocked with food and supplies. Mom had also managed to grab the mattress from my room and put it on the floor of the bedroom. (more…)
Survival of the Smartest: Part 5
As I got to the backdoor I turned the back porch light on. I opened the door slightly, looking for any sign of movement, but saw nothing. I wasn’t expecting any zombies, the backyard was completely fenced off and didn’t think that the undead could have broken through yet, but I wanted to make sure. The shed was only a few yards away, hopefully things would go smoothly. (more…)
Survival of the Smartest: Part 4
I ran a plan through my head. We would get as many supplies as possible, bring them upstairs and stay there. I wasn’t sure how many Zombies were outside, perhaps it was a small outbreak, but more than likely it was a bit more serious. I wasnt going to take any chances. (more…)
Survival of the Smartest: Part 3
The training school had given me kicked in immediately. I ran to the hallway closet and grabbed one of the many bats stored there. The closet used to hold all the cleaning supplies, but with two kids, it had become more of a sports locker.

Survival of the Smartest: Part 2
I awoke to a banging from the front door. My bedroom was directly above the porch, and in the old house we lived in, I could hear every step someone took on the porch. The Superintendent decided it was best to only teach how to fight and survive. (more…)

He woke up at 4:30. He figured he’d find Joan by 6. It was till dark out, the sun would be rising soon.
He found Joan right when he thought he would. She was in an old steel mill. He was hesitant to go inside. He had no idea if there were other undead in there with her, plus he didn’t know how she’d react. He entered on the opposite side of the building, giving him as much room between them as possible in case she became hostile. (more…)
Love and Zombies: Part 1
John was thinking about his deceased wife, Joan. It had only been a couple weeks since her death. 12 days, 4 hours and 23 minutes to be precise, but it felt like an eternity. She died from friendly fire. The young kids in the survival group shouldn’t have been using guns, but the group needed all the firepower they could get when a horde attacked. A few days later she was reanimated. He let her “live” and told all the other survivors to let her go. She was a zombie now. (more…)
